Trivets and Coasters

Carlos Solano and his wife Milena are the owners of the business and gave their company its name by using the initial of their last name. Carlos has a special sensitivity to aesthetics and 40 years experience making wooden objects with a lathe.
His attention to detail and beautiful finish is achieved through strict craftsmanship procedures, using rare and precious woods. For this reason it is not possible to make voluminous projects. Carlos quite rightly believes these unique woods should be used to create something smaller and special. The factory is located in Alajuela, in Costa Rica. It is a modern building with beautiful gardens employing more than 100 people. Quality control, high production levels and considerable experience make up the collective team.
Carlos is aware of the fact that the harvesting of wood from trees in mountain areas can be ecologically harmful and only creates contacts with industries that guarantee no exploitation of forests. In addition they have undertaken their own forestry projects in Costa Rica.
